CD Project Red knows how to make fun games. Improving on ideas from The Witcher III, they took Gwent, an in game mini game mechanic, and made it its own game that I am enjoying. In the stand alone game of Gwent, the game within the world of the Witcher serves as a vehicle to spin tales. Further building on this we now have Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales. This game is technically an RPG. You are given an isometric style map to explore the story and combat switches you into the integrated Gwent game play. The story as with most of the Witcher series is well written and as well incorporates branching story lines that work out into multiple story ends.
